And while life slows down here, ANZA Vineyard Estates is only minutes from the thriving, yet intimate, city of San Luis Obispo, meaning the peaceful hum of nature and the buzz of a cultural downtown are always in close reach.

The Land

344 acres of unparalleled beauty. Encompassing an array of coastal ridges, spectacular meadows, peaceful creeks, and ancient oak forests, ANZA Vineyard Estates truly is nature perfected. Whether it’s the burst of wildflowers in spring, the vibrant green of the estate vineyard in summer, or the golden leaves of the Sycamore trees in fall, each season tells a unique story of the land.

With a desire to respect the natural wonder this land gave us, we chose to create spacious 20+ acre homesites, allowing the beauty of this place to continue to be its centerpiece.

The History

Steeped in local tradition, ANZA Vineyard Estates is a property with roots that run deep into the history books of San Luis Obispo County. Spanish missionaries described the beauty of the land in diaries dating to 1769. Once part of the original Avila Ranch formed in the early 1880s, it had been home to the largest and most productive herd of dairy cattle in California. Today, this rich history has inspired an effort to retain much of the property’s natural landscape and a number of its historical structures, with the most notable being the redwood barn seen upon entry that was built in 1937.
