Learn more about the landSteeped in local tradition, ANZA Vineyard Estates is a property with roots that run deep into the history books of San Luis Obispo County. Spanish missionaries described the beauty of the land in diaries dating to 1769. Once part of the original Avila Ranch formed in the early 1880s, it had been home to the largest and most productive herd of dairy cattle in California. Today, this rich history has inspired an effort to retain much of the property’s natural landscape and a number of its historical structures, with the most notable being the redwood barn seen upon entry that was built in 1937.
