Acquired in 2014, Pismo Preserve is a dramatic new 900-acre property of scenic hills, oak woodlands, and coastal chaparral that can be seen just to the west of ANZA Vineyard Estates. Set to open in 2018, it offers a series of over 11 miles of new trails and 10 miles of existing ranch roads, where beautiful panoramic views over San Luis Bay extend from the Irish Hills to Point Sal. Once open, it is expected to be one of the most popular attractions for hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. In addition to a myriad of recreational opportunities, the picturesque Pismo Preserve boasts a wide array of habitats for plant and animal life, offering visitors the chance to understand and experience the natural diversity of the San Luis Obispo County.

The property is owned and managed by the Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo, a local nonprofit that has worked to preserve over 15,200 acres in San Luis Obispo County since 1984.

The entrance to Pismo Preserve is located just off Highway 101 near Mattie Road, making the beautiful hiking and biking on this amazing property accessible just a few short minutes from ANZA Vineyard Estates.
